Books For Africa brought together supporters, community leaders, and advocates for literacy at its 2026 Atlanta Fundraiser, celebrating the power of books to expand educational opportunity and strengthen communities across Africa.

A shipment of books from Books For Africa has been transformed into a powerful literacy initiative across Bomet County, Kenya, delivering educational resources directly into the hands of students and teachers.

Books For Africa recently joined approximately 40 African countries represented through the African Diplomatic Corps at the African Union Embassy in Washington, D.C., for a day of conversations focused on expanding access to books and educational resources across Africa.

Taking place Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at a private estate in Marin County, California, the event will bring together leaders and supporters committed to nourishing the body, nourishing the mind, and cultivating peace across Africa.

Fifty first-year law students from Georgia State College of Law volunteered August 14 at the Books For Africa Atlanta warehouse, continuing a tradition that began in 2010 as part of annual day of service following law school orientation. The students helped sort and pack books that will go to students throughout the African continent
