Books For Africa Welcomes Friends, Supporters and Guests at 2025 Warehouse Party
On July 12, Books For Africa welcomed local friends, supporters and African guests for its annual warehouse party. It was a chance to celebrate the close of BFA’s fiscal year on June 30, and the start of a new one! Fiscal year 2025 was highly successful; BFA shipped over 2.8 million books, valued at $2.85 million, to 36 countries on the African continent—an increase of 78% over the previous fiscal year! We also sent over half a million digital books on 163 computers and tablets and hosted over 9,000 volunteers at our Georgia warehouse.
Books For Africa was happy to have special guests in attendance like Founder Tom Warth, a number of BFA board members, and even guests from Africa with whom we got to share a little about our work.
We also enjoy delicious catering from Afro Deli, South African wine, and plenty of soft drinks and snacks, all the tunes of the BFA warehouse band. Merch was also for sale (if you didn’t get a chance to snag a t-shirt, you can do so at BFA’s online merch store). A wonderful time was had by all in attendance!
