Books For Africa was pleased to have the chance earlier this year to support several excellent programs building education and literacy in Kenya.

In partnership with WorldWide HealthStaff Solutions (WWHS) Ltd, whose President, Louis Brownstone, is a BFA board member, Books For Africa shipped a container of 40,000 high-quality medical books. This is not the first container under this partnership, which brings together BFA’s mission of building literacy on the continent and WWHS’s goal of strengthening healthcare education and training. In fact, it has brought over 100,000 medical books and counting to Kenya thus far.

Books For Africa is pleased to offer these medical books thanks to a partnership with leading publishing company Elsevier.

The shipment also included books for Friends of Ngong Road, featuring Books For Africa’s specially curated Girls Empowerment Collections, designed to invite women and girls to read books in which they see themselves and their futures reflected.
