In South Africa, lockdowns were hard on at-risk children, leaving them at home with no stimulation or learning opportunities. Books For Africa was able to support the work of nonprofit 9Miles by providing books and computers for this vulnerable population on South Africa’s west coast.

For the tenth year in a row, Books For Africa has been awarded Charity Navigator’s 4-star rating, the highest rating given by the country’s leading charity evaluator. This puts BFA in the top 3% of charities nationwide.

Books For Africa has just completed its sixth year of post-shipment feedback surveys! Recipients overwhelmingly reported that the books they received were useful and of high quality, and we can look back over six years of consistently positive trends.
