Books For Africa E-reader Initiative Set To Launch

With cultivated content specific to each region, the E-reader initiative will offer a unique opportunity to put regionally appropriate titles in the hands of students who are eager to read.

David Robinson, Son of Baseball Legend Jackie Robinson, Visits Minnesota to Promote Books For Africa

David Robinson, the son of baseball icon Jackie Robinson, traveled from his home on a coffee cooperative in Tanzania to visit Minnesota September 22-24 to talk about his work with Books For Africa. Robinson, who has lived in Tanzania for more than 30 years, participated earlier this year in a walk across Zanzibar, off the coast of Tanzania, led by BFA Founder Tom Warth to raise money, deliver books and help end the book famine in Africa.
