Addis Ababa, Ethiopia - In a powerful demonstration of global partnership and community-driven impact, a shipment of approximately 35,000 books has arrived at Abrehot Library, Ethiopia’s premier public library in the heart of Addis Ababa.

Books For Africa was promoted on an MPR broadcast in December 2025.

KSTP‬ highlights the Humphrey International Fellows as they helped pack books at Books For Africa.

On September 20, 2025 Tom Warth led a fundraising climb of Barn Bluff in Red Wing, Minnesota.  It was a great day and the event was a big success.  Approximately 30 people participated in the event, and approximately $14,000 was raised to ship books to Uganda.

Books For Africa partnered with BetterWorld Trust and the Ghana Book Trust to deliver 18,000 books to schools, libraries, and orphanages in Ghana. Together, they have provided more than 590,000 books over the past eight years to expand access to education.
