Peachtree Presbyterian Church Sponsors Container Supporting the Chitipa Restoration Project

Books for Africa is proud to partner with Peachtree Presbyterian Church to support education and community development in Chitipa, Malawi, through the shipment of a sponsored container of new and gently used textbooks.

The Malawi | Peachtree 2026 (BOGO 1) container will provide valuable educational resources to the Chitipa Restoration Project, helping expand access to books and learning materials for students, educators, and local communities. The shipment includes a diverse collection of new and used textbooks intended to support learning and strengthen educational opportunities in the region.

In addition to the textbooks, the container includes one pallet of medical books donated through Merck, extending the shipment's impact beyond the classroom. These resources will support access to medical knowledge and reference materials for those working to improve health and well-being in Malawi.

Peachtree Presbyterian Church's sponsorship demonstrates the power of community partnerships in making educational resources more accessible around the world. Through its partnership with Books for Africa, the church is helping put books into the hands of those who need them most and supporting organizations working to create lasting, positive change.

Books for Africa is grateful to Peachtree Presbyterian Church and Merck for helping make this shipment possible. Together with the Chitipa Restoration Project, these partners are helping advance literacy, education, and access to knowledge in Malawi.

Every book shipped represents an opportunity to learn, grow, and build a brighter future. Through partnerships like this, Books for Africa continues its mission to end the book famine in Africa by collecting, sorting, and shipping books to students and communities across the continent.
