Books For Africa Celebrates Another Remarkable Year at Annual Warehouse Party

Books For Africa welcomed supporters, volunteers, partners, and friends to our St. Paul warehouse for our annual Warehouse Party, a celebration of another incredible year of impact and the start of an exciting new fiscal year.

This year's gathering celebrated the shipment of more than 2.5 million books to students, schools, libraries, and communities across Africa during Fiscal Year 2026. Guests enjoyed delicious food from Afro Deli, grilled favorites prepared by our dedicated warehouse crew, live music from the Books For Africa warehouse band, and the opportunity to connect with fellow supporters while surrounded by the books that make our mission possible.

The program featured inspiring remarks from Books For Africa Founder Tom Warth, Board President Fatima Lawson, and Executive Director Patrick Plonski, who reflected on the organization's accomplishments over the past year and shared an exciting vision for the future. They thanked the volunteers, donors, and partners whose generosity continues to make millions of books—and countless opportunities for learning—possible.

    

The celebration was also a meaningful kickoff to the new fiscal year. Thanks to the generosity of attendees, Books For Africa received several gifts during the event, providing strong momentum as we begin another year of working to end the book famine in Africa.
