Gardens of Hope for Africa: Nourishing Minds and Cultivating Peace

Books For Africa is proud to partner with Pax Agricultura for Gardens of Hope for Africa, an intimate fundraising gathering supporting literacy and Global Book Ecosystems across Africa.

Taking place Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at a private estate in Marin County, California, the event will bring together leaders and supporters committed to nourishing the body, nourishing the mind, and cultivating peace across Africa.

The gathering will be hosted by Patrick Plonski, PhD, Executive Director of Books For Africa, and feature co-keynote speakers H.E. Ambassador Constância Adelina Gaspar, African Union Ambassador to the United States, and Heidi Kühn, Founder & CEO of Pax Agricultura, Founder of Roots of Peace and 2023 World Food Prize Laureate.

Guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, a garden reception, and a global conversation focused on the important connection between education, opportunity, food security, and peace.

Tickets start at $500 per person, with sponsorship opportunities also available. Guests may attend in person or join the global livestream.
