This project addresses a critical need in South Sudan, where over 70% of school-aged children are out of school and more than 90% of schools have no library. With fewer than three public libraries in the entire nation, access to books is nearly nonexistent for millions. Help Restore Youth (HeRY) – Garang Buk Buk – South Sudan

Garang Buk Buk is raising funds for a container of books and school supplies for the community center he established in his hometown of Aweil, South Sudan.  A former child soldier, Garang achieved his goals of attending Emory University in Georgia for a Master’s degree in international development and public health and has returned to his home with a goal of helping others gain access to education, as he has.
