Mozambique Container Stocks 14 Schools, Delivers Law Library to Office of Attorney General

BFA recently delivered a container of 18,000 university-level and specialty books to Mozambique in honor of H.E. Carlos Dos Santos, keynote speaker at BFA's Words Change Worlds luncheon, and honorary chair of the 2018 BFA Summit Society!

Newly stocked shelves at the Universidade Lurio LibraryThe container was generously sponsored by Thomson Reuters, who also donated a full law and human rights library to the Mozambique Office of the Attorney General that was included in the shipment.  Additionally, 30 boxes of Merck Medical Manuals were included to bolster the libraries of medical schools and providers across the country.

Momade Ali of Universidade Lurio helped coordinate distribution of the books, and reported that "The enthusiasm and satisfaction of the staff, teachers, and students of recipient schools was quite remarkable... Personally, and on behalf of the directorate of UniLurio, allow me to express our deep and profound gratitude for this donation, which will certainly support our mission, which includes teaching, educating, research, as well as improving the lives of [those in] our community."

In total 14 schools benefited from this project.  Our thanks to Ambassador Santos, Thomson Reuters, Merck & Co., and the staff at Universidade Lurio for bringing this project to life - this was truly a collaborative effort, and will benefit students and staff for generations to come!
