Books For Africa Showcases Recipient Photos in 2021 Photo Contest

Books For Africa periodically holds contests to collect photos from book recipients across the continent. We love seeing the smiling faces of readers with their new books! In late 2021, we sent out an email to container captains, requesting that they send us their best shots, and they delivered!

From Sierra Leone to Zimbabwe, we received dozens of photos of people unloading, distributing, reading and posing with BFA book shipments. We’ve collected some highlights in a Flickr album for all of our friends to see, and we’ve also showcased a number of these photos in our 2021 Annual Report, which is landing in mailboxes in the U.S. this week!
